Cheese Sweetened with Honey

A recipe that can be used as an appetiser or a snack

Original recipe:



  • ½ lb Cheese made from ewe's milk.
  • Feta cheese is better.
  • Honey
  • Olive oil
  • Garum to taste
  • Pinch of ground coriander
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt


  • Cut the cheese into squares and combine with the honey. Allow to sit for at least an hour.
  • Lift the cheese from the honey and dress with the coriander, pepper, olive oil and the garum.
  • Check the taste and if necessary sweeten by adding some of the honey marinade.
  • This dish can be eaten with the fingers or the cheese can be put on thin toast squares.
